January 2020
Our website has launched! Let us know what you think.
Also, we will be adding a Photo Gallery and are asking you all to submit fun photos from events you have attended or from moments in your lives where you are showing your support and respect for our shared Democratic values.
*A HUGE thanks to Cindy Gall, tech extraordinaire, for all of her efforts.
New Executive Director
Sandi Luckey, a labor organizer who served as treasurer for the Montana Democratic Party, has taken over as executive director of the state party.

Luckey replaces Monica Lindeen, who announced in October she was stepping down after 10 (!) months on the job. Lindeen said she departed because she was ready to move on to the "next chapter" of her life.

Luckey was the president of the Big Sky Labor Council for a decade. In addition to being treasurer of the state party, she was chair of the Lewis and Clark County Democratic Party.

Precinct Captain Meeting

Precinct Captains and anyone interested in becoming a Precinct Captain are invited to The Rocky Mountain Grange (1436 S 1st St, Hamilton) on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at 3:30pm. We will review our successes and possible failures that we have experienced when reaching out to constituents. We will also introduce the communication tool Slack to our Captains. If possible, please bring a smart phone, tablet or laptop. The best part is that the January Potluck is happening right after!
January Potluck
Please join us on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at 6pm for our monthly potluck. We need community as much as possible during these uncertain times!

We will host two candidates: Attorney General Candidate Raph Graybill and Congressional Candidate Matt Rains.

Please bring your favorite beverage or dish!
Raph Graybill is a fifth-generation Montanan from Great Falls. He serves as Chief Legal Counsel to Governor Steve Bullock.
Raph is a proud product of the Great Falls Public Schools system. He is a graduate of Columbia University, Yale Law School, and the University of Oxford, where he studied as a Rhodes Scholar.
Raph served as an Auxiliary Police Officer with the New York City Police Department while studying in college. As an attorney, Raph worked for the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and in private practice as a lawyer for entrepreneurs and small businesses harmed by unfair business practices.
He and his wife Marisa have one daughter, Genevieve.

Congressional candidate Matt Rains is a fifth-generation rancher who runs the Birdtail Ranch in Simms, MT.

Matt graduated from West Point and subsequently flew Blackhawk helicopters in Iraq and South Korea.

After his service, Matt worked to bring attention to humanitarian crises as a photographer before returning to the U.S. to apply his engineering degree at a St. Louis-area energy company called Dynegy.

Montana beckoned so Matt returned to the ranch and discovered that families were struggling and Montana's sons and daughters were leaving for opportunities elsewhere.

Matt is a cowboy, not a politician, and he can be trusted to strengthen Montana's voice in the House.
