Time for ActoinThere are many things that you can do to help further the goals of your local Democratic Party.

Match your passion, your skills, and what you like to do with one of the many things you can do.

Make new friends and feel good that you are doing something as a concerned citizen who wants to get invooved!

Stay informed and pass the word!

Donate your time, resources, or money to a candidate or to the Ravalli County Democrats, your local democratic party.

  • Attend one of our many events and pass on news of interest to the Central Committee
  • Follow us on Facebook and Instagram. Like and share our news and share your thoughts by leaving a comment
  • Sign up for our newsletter and share news of interest with your friends and family
  • Sign up to receive emails from you Precinct Captain

Do you like working with others?

  • Volunteer to help staff our booths at the Farmers' Market or the Ravalli County Fair
  • Set up a Voter registration table at the local market/grocery store
  • Help out at school activities
  • Walk or drive with us in a parade

Do you like to cheerlead and/or rally the troops?

  • Become a Precinct Captain
  • Share and comment on our Facebook and Instagram posts
  • Take on a major responsibility - lead an activity like the fair, parade, fundraising, booth, handling gear or yard signs
  • Recruit others to help
  • Join other nonprofits, help them, and demonstrate that Democrats care about the People

Are you a mover / shaker?

  • Write Letters to the Editor
  • Volunteer for a Candidate to do phone banking or knock on doors with a partner
    Contact your favorite candidates: U.S. House of Representatives | U.S. Senate | State Legislature
  • Hand out information
  • Learn one-on-one meeting techniques
  • Make a speech
  • Actively encourage others to get involved
  • Broaden the circle - draw in moderate Republican family and friends
  • Host a fundraiser
  • Contact your Senators and Representatives. Call their offices, email them, send letters or faxes.

  • Attend Democrat planning meetings and participate
  • Help write and submit ads

  • Run for office
  • “Adopt” a public meeting, like County Commissioner meeting, City Council, School Board
  • Testify to an interim legislative committee
  • Attend Republican events, to understand situations & issues.

Do you like to help behind the scenes?

  • Become a Poll watcher/ ballot box observer
  • Become an Election Judge
  • Help the Central Committee with Administrative duties - Contact us!
  • Deliver yard signs or put one up in your yard
  • Write postcards for candidates
  • Wear a Montana Democrat Hat
  • Put a bumper sticker on your car or truck
  • Bake cookies for the next gathering
  • Pay for (or paint) a highway sign
  • Follow various regional groups (e.g. - MEIC, Northern Plains Resource Council, BCAG, Rural Assembly, Wild Montana ...), pass on news
  • Send thank you notes to your Democratic legislators
  • Distribute flyers
  • Vote
  • Donate money or items for raffles
